Ladies, it's time to feast your eyeballs on all the muscly man-flesh in this trailer for Magic Mike

Firstly, I have to apologize to our female readers. Due to the imminent release of some big budget films you might have heard of,  it’s been wall to wall geek around here lately, with us just living out our boyhood dreams of dressing up as superheroes and astronauts.

But today I am going to make it up to you girls, because the first trailer for Steven Soderbergh’s male stripper comedy, Magic Mike, has just dropped. And yes, Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer wear very little clothing in it.

The story is apparently based off Tatum’s own real-life experiences from when he had a 8 month long stint as a 19-year old male stripper. Tatum’s character, Mike, is actually representing his “mentor” at the time, while Alex Pettyfer’s character, The Kid, is supposed to be real life Tatum.

I still feel that Tatum has the acting skills and on-screen charisma of a wet sponge, but clearly his pectorals will be doing the talking here. It will also help tremendously that joining his pectorals will be a supporting cast that reads like some teenage girl’s wishlist. Hell, they even pulled out Big Daddy Cool, Kevin Nash!

And if popping pecs and wash-board stomachs are not your biggest attraction, then you can at least be safe in the knowledge that with a talented director such as Steven Soderberh at the helm, it will be well made and not devolve into rom-com cliche. In fact, based on my impression from this trailer, it might even be kind of funny.
