Feast your eyes on these new mentally-scarring images for Men In Black 3!

I’ve never been the biggest fan of the Men In Black series of films, although that cartoon spin-off was kind of cool. The buddy intergalactic cop films have always just felt rather underwhelming to me.

And no amount of Will SMith music videos can change my opinion on that. But one thing that I always loved, are the exotic alien designs from Rick Baker.

They’ve towed a line between fantastic and eery, and the latest MIB pics certainly do reinforce that strange aesthetic of his.

Rick Baker explained to EW what exactly made his aliens different, for the 3Dier film;

When I saw the ’60s part, I said, ‘I think we should do retro-looking aliens based on a lot of the aliens that were in films from the ’50s and ’60s that I love.

It was actually an idea I’d tried to push in the first two movies and they didn’t go for it, but I figured with the time travel it would be perfect.

The images from EW.com shows how Baker designed all 127 aliens, but not all of them made the final cut;

We’d do an alien you could build a whole movie around, with all kinds of animatronics in its face, and then it would turn out to be in a quick pan. It was like, ‘Wow, we could have saved some time there!”

MIB 3 is out, end of May this year.

    How could you not like Men In Black? That’s the most absurd thing I’ve heard all year

      Hopefully Gary Oldman will have something new for me, when July rolls around.
