It's magic in this first trailer and posters for THE INCREDIBLE BURT WONDERSTONE!

Earlier this week, we saw the first official image for The Amazing Burt Wonderstone, which pits the old school magic of Steve Carell and Steve Buscemi up against the new school street stunts of rival illusionist Jim Carrey.

But that was just sequins, mullets and some guys in a pub. Now watch, as I pull this trailer out of my…embed link! Ha, misdirection and innuendo! MAGIC!

Superstar magicians Burt Wonderstone (Steve Carell) and Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi) have ruled the Las Vegas strip for years, raking in millions with illusions as big as Burt’s growing ego. But lately the duo’s greatest deception is their public friendship, while secretly they’ve grown to loathe each other.

Facing cutthroat competition from guerilla street magician Steve Gray (Jim Carrey), whose cult following surges with each outrageous stunt, even their show looks stale. But there’s still a chance Burt and Anton can save the act—both onstage and off—if Burt can get back in touch with what made him love magic in the first place.

Jim Carrey looks to be on manic form for this flick and out of that drama rut, while Carell is playing his role with timed outbursts and subtlety as usual. It’s just a pity that we don’t get to see more of Buscemi, but by now, he’ll most likely bring a decent performance to the end product.

The Amazing Burt Wonderstone stars Steve Carell, Steve Buscemi, Olivia Wilde, Alan Arkin, James Gandolfini, Jim Carrey and Jay Mohr, with Don Scardino directing.
