Quvenzhané Wallis will be handling the melodies of the sole ginger child that the world actually loves. The long-running comic strip, 1977 Broadway musical and 1982 movie may have faded into obscurity over recent decades, but it’s coming back with an audio vengeance.
While the movie was originally going to be a vehicle for Smith daughter Willow, sanity prevailed when people realized that people would rather cork their orifices shut and explode themselves with a fart than listen to her sing again. Quvenzhané Wallis has the gig now, as the 9 year old actress was in Hollywood last night. Y’know, being the youngest ever thespian ever nominated for an Academy Award and all that.
