HERCULES: THE LEGEND BEGINS still looks horrible in this new trailer

Not too long ago, a trailer popped up for one of two upcoming movies based on the legend of Hercules. This one, Hercules: The Legend Begins starred Twilight‘s resident musclehead, Kellan Lutz, and was directed by Renny “Die Hard 2” Harlin. And it looked bad. Real bad. I’m talking so bad that Wesley Snipes started off his career by being a background dancer in it*.

Now a new trailer has surfaced (slightly shorter, edited differently) and if you were hoping that it looks any better, well then I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings…

In Ancient Greece 1200 B.C., a queen succumbs to the lust of Zeus to bear a son promised to overthrow the tyrannical rule of the king and restore peace to a land in hardship. But this prince, Hercules, knows nothing of his real identity or his destiny. He desires only one thing: the love of Hebe, Princess of Crete, who has been promised to his own brother. When Hercules learns of his greater purpose, he must choose: to flee with his true love or to fulfill his destiny and become the true hero of his time. The story behind one of the greatest myths is revealed in this action-packed epic – a tale of love, sacrifice and the strength of the human spirit.

Let’s just call it now: This is going to make a clean sweep at the Razzies. And that’s kind of a good thing, as it’s probably the only way that Kellan Logz – as his Royal Woodenness will henceforth be referred to – will ever win any award related to movies.

Hercules: The Legend Continues will somehow not be going straight to that shelf at your local Mr. Video where they keep all the Lorenzo Lamas and Cynthia Rothrock movies, but will instead be released in cinemas in 2D and 3D on January 10, 2014.

*Movie trivia: Wesley Snipes started off his entertainment business career by being a background dancer in the music video for Michael Jackson’s “Bad”.

    bwhahahaha @ Wesley Snipes fact.

I automatically assume any movie that sells itself based on its actors previously being in Twilight is a bad movie.

It doesn’t look that bad. I’d rather watch this than the new Transformers…

Why do they always confuse “strength of the human spirit” with “size of his biceps”?
