Angriest Man in Brooklyn

Here’s an interesting prospect for a film. Robin Williams stars as one of the angriest people in New York, which is really saying something. All that stress eventually lands him in hospital, where after a session of badering Doctor Mila Kunis, he ends up being tricked into believing that he only has 90 minutes to live. Cue one desperate scramble to make up for several transgressions in life.

“The Angriest Man in Brooklyn” is the story of Henry Altmann (Williams), who is having a horrible day, made much worse by his visit with Dr. Sharon Gill (Kunis), who abruptly informs him that he only has 90 minutes to live. After storming out of the hospital in disbelief, Henry panics and races through Brooklyn in an attempt to right all of the wrongs in his life, while Sharon desperately scrambles to find him and get him into surgery.

Looks like a solid film. Robin Williams will no doubt learn several life lessons along the way as his 90 minutes wind down, and it’s good to see the manic comic back on the big screen. Although it’d be genuinely funny if he actually does peg after 90 minutes after all. The Angriest Man in Brooklyn also stars  Melissa Leo, Peter Dinklage and Hamish Linklater. Phil Alden Robinson directs. It’ll be squeezing a stress ball in cinemas from May 23.

He stars in a new sitcom called “The Crazy Ones”. Apparently it’s pretty good.
