Adrianne-Palicki-as-Wonder-Woman

Recently we heard that Veteran actor Kyle MacLachlan was joining Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and now another actor has been cast as Mockingbird (a character first revealed to appear in season two at ComicCon). Joining the team is actress Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights, G.I. Joe: Retaliation) who will play the role of fellow no-super-powers agent Barbara “Bobbi” Morse (Mockingbird) in episode 5 of the upcoming season. It’s interesting to note that this is not the first time Palicki has appeared in a comic book series. She was also in the failed pilots of the NBC production Wonder Woman and WC’s Aquaman.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D had a bit of a lacklustre beginning but by the time the smash-hit Captain America: Winter Soldier hit  cinemas (around season 1 episode 10 ) that had changed, offering a brilliant series-movie crossover that even had Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) make an appearance.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to start on 23 September. Who else would you like to see in the show?

That Wonder Woman pilot… so bad. After 5 minutes I couldn’t bear it any more.

Hmmm, sounds a lot like Agents of SHIELD. 😉

However bad you think SHIELD may be, WW was much, much worse. I’m regretting just remembering it.

Nah, AGENTS started bad as it didn’t know what it wanted to be. Once Captain America 2 and the series linked it improved a hundred fold and was actually damn good.

How many terrible episodes will I have to crawl through to get to the turning point? I’m considering giving it another go. 🙂

I would say the first 4-5 are bad, then there is like 1 good episode for every 2 or so bad ones for the next dozen episodes, and then it gets good.

Yeah, I’d say that’s about right. I mean when it started I thought it was all about one character as their focus was off.

The first 6 or so aren’t the greatest, the next 6 things start picking up & then it’s pretty damn good. Like Rince said, the episodes that came out after Winter Soldier & the one just before it are where things really turned around – it’s like they were having to tread water while waiting for the movie because otherwise they would have spoiled the plot.
