Say what you want about DC, Warner Bros and their current plans to bring their super heroes to big and small screens. But just the fact that they’re doing all this, makes me tremendously happy. We can sort out whatever criticisms we have later, but with a current slate of shows that includes more Arrow, Constantine and upcoming films, I’m kind of in heaven. And The Flash is racing to the top of my list.
After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion — and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.
If you look closely, the poster is filled with Easter eggs. There’s the Arrow connection, the iconic lightning bolt and other future connections. Pretty ace. The Flash races onto screens on October 7.

I saw the pre-screening yesterday… (Don’t ask me how I got it) And it wasn’t bad. It made me want to see more Flash.

That looks like the Wayne Enterprises logo seen in Man of Steel on the building in the top left. That’s certainly unexpected seeing as how the movies and TV series are not supposed to be crossing over.
Also, Amertek is the name of the military industrial firm that John Henry Irons aka the superhero Steel, works for.

If I remember correctly the creators said Arrow/Flash is in a different universe to the films… so, if there is a Batman to be, it’s either Gotham or something new entirely. It’d be terribly difficult to get Man of Steel and Batfleck to fit into this nice Arrow universe… but still, would be nice for the characters to fit in some way!
