Deet————– deet——— deet—– deet–deet-deetdeetdeetdeetdeetdeetdeetdeet!!! No, I haven’t finally lost my marbles and begun speaking in dubstep. That is in my fact my (really bad) impersonation of a metal detector, as I think I’ve just discovered some hidden treasure.
Black Sea is an intense looking new thriller from Kevin “Last King of Scotland” MacDonald about a group of desperate and ill-prepared submariners who get caught up in some deadly dealings while trying to salvage a German U-boat laden with gold, stranded at the bottom of the Black Sea. It stars such fantastic actors as Jude Law, Scoot McNairy and Ben Mendelson, and somehow this is the first damn time I’m hearing about it! Based on this gripping first trailer though, I have a feeling that it definitely won’t be the last time though, as it looks to be quite the ride.
A suspenseful adventure thriller directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald, centering on a rogue submarine captain (two-time Academy Award nominee Jude Law) who pulls together a misfit crew to go after a sunken treasure rumored to be lost in the depths of the Black Sea. As greed and desperation take control onboard their claustrophobic vessel, the increasing uncertainty of the mission causes the men to turn on each other to fight for their own survival.
Black Sea also stars Konstantin Khabensky, Michael Smiley, Karl Davies and Grigoriy Dobrygin. It is scheduled for a limited international release on January 23, 2015.

Love the look of this. I’m a sucker for “under the sea” shit.
