Hey, guys! Somebody made an official movie featuring The Atom, Canary and Reverse Flash! Okay, so maybe it’s just the actors who play those characters on Arrow and The Flash, but clearly writer/director Matt Ostermann is a fan of CW’s DC Comics TV series as he’s dipped quite a bit into their casting pool for his upcoming sci-fi thriller 400 Days. Oh and Dane Cook. He also hired Dane Cook, because there were obviously already too many people in this movie that fans actually liked and he needed to keep things balanced.

For what it’s worth, the first trailer for the movie itself actually doesn’t look half bad, even if it does appear quite derivative in places (even that poster above seems to be a spin on an iconic shot from 2001: A Space Odyssey). This certainly has the potential to be one of those mindbending indie sci-fi’s that keeps the audience guessing with clever scripting, or it could be a great big suckfest that just CTRL+C, CTRL-V’s its script from other superior works.

Check it out for yourself below.

our aspiring astronauts (Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Dane Cook, Ben Feldman) are sent on a simulated mission to a distant planet to test the psychological effects of deep space travel. Locked away for 400 days, the crew’s mental state begins to deteriorate when things outside the module begin to go haywire and all communication is lost with mission control. Upon exiting the ship, they discover that this mission was no simulation.

400 Days is scheduled for release on VOD and at US cinemas on Jaunary 12, 2016
