Dave Bautista says GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Vol. 2 will be "different"

Dave Bautista, also known as the metaphor catching Drax the Destroyer, has offered some more insight into the next installment of the widely popular (and to many this was a huge surprise) Guardians of the Galaxy. Firstly, in an interview just a few days ago with Cinemablend Bautista said that in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 Drax was going to be even more badass, which is difficult to imagine as he certainly kicked a few. One thing he isn’t doing though is… Reading the script… WHAT?! Indeed, the mountain of a man doesn’t want to spoil the surprise for himself as he is a huge fan, what does that make me, Dave!? That being said, after a few talks with awesome director James Gunn, Drax’s future was made a bit more clear:

I haven’t read the script, and I’m being completely honest when I say that, but I think, having talked to James about the film, I know he’s… I hate to give any spoilers, but I know he’s really going to focus on Drax being a badass. He’s still not really going to get metaphors, even though he thinks he does, but he’ll still be that very literal Drax, but I think you’re going to see a lot more badass Drax.

Well that’s made my day! Of course with the huge success of the first film Gunn is going to have a difficult time topping it, so how can he? Well Speaking with ComicBook Bautista had this to say:

When I asked him [Gunn] before, coming off the success of Guardians of the Galaxy, I knew the pressure was on him to make it better, and I asked him, ‘How are you going to top this? How are you going to make it better?’ He said, ‘No, I’m going to make it different.’

Well that’s cryptic. Can you give us more, DAVE? No, of course you can’t, because you don’t want to,do you!?

To be honest with you, when I read the script of Guardians, it almost put a damper on it. First and foremost, I’m a fan, and the second I know what’s going to happen it kind of takes away from the magic a little bit! I honestly think that if I asked James, he would tell me, but I haven’t asked him. I always think that if they’re not telling you, there’s a reason they’re not telling you. So I almost don’t want to know, because I want to be surprised! I’ll probably know before the finished product, obviously, though.”

Well I hope you know before you’re on stage, one needs to learn their lines. I am extremely excited about the next movie. I thought the first was a heap of fun and although told a similar story to the others did so in a far more flamboyant way. What about all of you? Would you also resist reading the script until it was fully developed, or are you like Kervy, a spoiler lover?
