The time is almost upon us to for the release of Captain America: Civil War and that day can’t come any sooner! Making his return to the MCU is Don Cheadle as War Machine and while the actor has been great since taking on the role in Iron Man 2, he hasn’t really been given that much to do in the Marvel universe.

But in Civil War however War Machine, he will apparently have a much bigger part to play. Speaking to the guys at SuperHeroHype Cheadle had this to say about his role in the upcoming movie:

I never know what it’s going to be and they keep their cards very close to their breast with Marvel. I never know where the character’s going to go, but he’s become more and more and in the next one, you’ll see that what happens to Rhodey is a little bit more intense and pivotal to what happens in the rest of the stories.

Now Cheadle has starred in some more serious movies, like Hotel Rwanda, Traffic and Crash so it must be quite a change for him to be a part of the MCU. This is what he had to say about working on the Marvel movies:

I ultimately like it when we’re there and I’m working with other actors and it’s fun, but it can be very tedious. A lot of time you’re looking at a green screen and a tennis ball on a C-stand, and it couldn’t be more antithetical to doing what Miles Ahead [his Sundance movie] was, but you just give over to the elements and go, ‘Oh these are the toys and I’m playing with the biggest and best toys’ and we’re flying around and doing stuff that if I was ten years old, I would be having the greatest time in my life.

I think its great that War Machine will get a bigger role to play and this could be just the platform to set up a solo movie for Cheadle. What is for sure is that Civil War is going to be awesome!

Also in Captain America: Civil War is Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Frank Grillo, Daniel Brühl, William Hurt and Tom Holland as Spiderman. The movie releases at cinema on May 6, 2016.
