ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES gets an official release date

51 second read

So when does the Channel Five News Team return for another round of sex panther cologne and epic street battles with rival news crews? Director Adam McKay and Will Ferrell have been hard at work on a new script for the sequel, and by the sounds of things, they’ve cracked enough of a story to have a solid release date.

Anchorman: The Legend Continues will be out in exactly a year from now, December 20 2013. Will Ferrell returns as Ron Burgundy, alongside the rest of the news team in the form of Steve Carell, David Koechner and Paul Rudd.

While a script may be in place, there’s no word yet as to what the sequel will actually be about, although hints from McKay and Ferrell suggest a changing news scene, new challenges and Brick Tamland finding love in the form of Kristen Wiig.
