Blizzcon 2010 sold out in 1 second

Last week Blizzard had one of their annual investor calls which are generally full of really uninteresting financial details but every now and then we find something really important or at least interesting in them.

Generally this relates to upcoming titles but not this time, this time in small print on the bottom of one of the Powerpoint slides was a single line that stated

Tickets sold out (for BlizzCon 2010) in one second!

Seriously 1 second to sell out an entire conference, people must have been lining up in their virtual queues by the thousands to accomplish that and what is possibly more impressive is that the system tasked to handle the sales withstood such an immediate onslaught.

wish I could do gaming conventions all year long…(i know, the grass is always greener…)…but still, I assure you the “all year gaming convention attendee”-grass is better than my cubicle.
