Brace yourselves, they're making a sequel to PAUL BLART: MALL COP

The box office is no stranger to getting bad comedies dumped on it, judging by the fact that Tyler Perry released several Madea films in 2013 alone. But even cinema fans have limits that can be broken, with Paul Blart: Mall Cop easily annihilating any good will to watching movies way back in 2009.

And now the most unnecessary film of all time is getting what will most likely be an unnecessary sequel.

Kevin James as "Paul Blart" in Columbia Pictures' comedy Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

Is there a good enough reason to forge ahead with a sequel though? Actually, there are millions of them.  $183.2 million worth of reasons to be exact, which off of a $26 million budget made Mall Cop pretty damn successful. Naturally, Kevin James is all too eager to star once again and pick up another easy pay cheque, with Andy “Parental Guidance” Fickman in talks to direct. Nick Bakay will help co-write the film with James, because there weren’t enough Segway jokes in the first movie.

According to THR, shooting kicks off in April, with the film being released either in late 2014 or early 2015 in an attempt to give Batman vs Superman a run for its money.
