Dwayne Johnson points guns at people in these new G.I. Joe: Retaliation images

When I think about it now, I cannot believe that it’s taken this long to cast “The Rock” in a G.I. Joe movie. The guy is practically a walking action figure himself! And looking at these newly released images from the John Chu directed sequel, he knows exactly how to assume those action figure poses.

Also Adrianne Palicki looks hot in a red dress, Snake Eyes gets all action-y, Bruce Willis plans somethingg and some guy I’ve never heard of before in my life has a standoff with Storm Shadow before having a drink.

I am actually surprised with how much I am looking forward to this one. This despite the fact that it’s being directed by a guy who only really has two Step Up movies and a Justin Bieber documentary to his name. Maybe it’s the fact that Channing Tatum is almost non-existent in all the promo material, keeping my dream alive that he dies from an acute case of bullets to the brain pretty early on. I do love me some Tatum death.

    That red dress…

In related news, I never watched the first GI Joe, is it linked in with Stark Industries as well?

Oh that Stark Industries is the Hollywood gossip site, not the company from Iron Man.

What I really would like explained is how the dude with the gun got the drop on Storm Shadow.

As a regular Joe you only faced Storm Shadow:

If you lost your sense of fear

    Or

You lost the will to live

I still have no idea who that is. I mean the character and the actor.

That looks like DJ Cotrona. I may be wrong but if it is him then he plays Flint.  He is the Joe’s warrant officer…

I know that he doesn’t die in the original attack, but I’m hoping and praying that he bites it a few minutes later.
