What’s that Hollywood, you need another re-adaptation/re-imagining/reboot of something that has already been done? Well then, fetch your best shovels, because its time to go dig up the celebrated corpse of Les Miserables once again!
Aaron Tveit is the latest actor to sign up for Universal Studios adaptation of the classic musical, joining an ensemble cast to bring the tale of rebellious French people to life.Tveit, more well-known for his work on the TV series Gossip Girl, is joined by Hugh”I really need that bread” Jackman, Russell “Drop the bread!” Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried and Eddie Redmayne.
Tveit will play Enjolras, leader of the French student rebellion.
Tom “The King’s Speech” Hooper directs, with Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner producing, with a working release date of December 07, 2012, set for the US release of the film.
Les Miserables has been seen numerous times on stage and screen, with the most recent film version having been released in 1998.
