It’s weird what a human body can tolerate. I sat dead-still for a four hour tattoo session, didn’t even blink an eyelid. I’ve crashed a motorcycle and got up, dusted myself off, and kept riding, and my face is pretty much accustomed to the blows it receives whenever I do some boxing sparring.
Hell, I even had laser eye surgery years ago back when they could only give you a tiny amount of general anaesthetic, meaning that I pretty much felt my peepers being laser-goldfingered.
But tooth pain? The second I feel some of that, I curl up into the foetal position and demand Johnny Cash level painkillers. And now I have to go pay the dentist a visit this week, die to my molars inflicting some mutinous pain on my gums.
I am not looking forward to this week. Someone hold me.
