Last night, I cuddled up with the missus to watch what we’ve been told is a really scary movie. I’m not really one of those people who readily believes in the things that go bump in the night – but last night I was freaked the f*ck out. Just as the film got to the genuinely creepy bits, where things start moving on their own accord, our previously closed bedroom door opened, slowly, and came to a gentle rest before hitting the wall. There was no wind, no open windows, no animals or children in sight. I’m sure there’s a reasonable and logical explanation for it – but I’m damned if I know what it is. The movie though? Not so scary.

Here’s the news we didn’t post because we’re too busy hiding under the covers.

Editor. I’m old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time – they were capable of being masterpieces. I’m here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
