Thanks to Breaking Bad I have become a huge fan of Bryan Cranston, and it is safe to say that off the huge success of that brilliant series Cranston has been enjoying his fare share of work and movie offers. The latest of these being Jay Roach’s Trumbo, which is looking like one of the stand out movies for 2015.
The film tells the story of real-life screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, the scribe of classics like Spartacus and Roman Holiday, who was blacklisted and sent to prison during the Red Scare when the House UnAmerican Activities Committee (HUAC) was questioning Hollywood talents about Communist ties, forcing many to have pseudonyms and struggle to survive in the face of baseless accusations.
Now anyone that knows me will know that I cannot resist a good biopic movie and if this trailer is anything to go by then Trumbo is most definitely one to look forward to!
Joining Cranston in Trumbo is Diane Lane, Helen Mirren, Louis C.K, Elle Fanning, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Alan Tudyk, Adewale- Akinnuoye-Agbaje – an all star cast that reportedly deliver brilliant performances in what will most likely be one of the strong Oscar contenders for 2016.
Trumbo has everything it seems to be a great movie and I will for one will in line to get the full story when it releases on November 6, 2015.
