Sad news coming in today, as the legendary creative force behind the Alien franchise has died.
H.R. Giger, who helped create the signature look for Alien, died in Hospital after sustaining several injuries from a bad fall. He was 73. Besides Alien, Giger also contributed designs to Poltergeist 2, Alien 3 and Species. Moving to another medium, Giger also provided scary visuals in the 1995 PC game Dark Seed.
Beyond all that however, Giger was a renowned painter, sculptor and furniture designer. Giger will most likely be buried in a mausoleum that has far too many concrete cocks hidden inside and outside of it.

Sad day for many fans, I’m sure 🙁 Giger’s art style was hellishly influential, and the man was a serious talent.

Nah man! He is busy redesigning heaven! I was told as a laaitie by my Sunday School teacher that in heaven I am going to play with lions. Cool and all, but when I get to heaven, I want a Xenomoprh queen as a pet…

I don’t think they allow those there. Don’t they have Predators as gate-keepers?
