In between all the major Holly,Bolly and Nollywood productions that we cover, we sometimes forget about the local side of the film industry that has finally begun taking off in recent years.

One such film is the latest Leon Schuster theatrical event, Mad Buddies. Schuster joins Kenneth Nkosi as two unwitting participants in a reality road trip film who happen to also despise one another.

Unbeknownst to the two of them, they’re being primed for some roadside shenanigans, but when the duo uncovers the scheme, they put aside their mutual hatred of each other in order to gain some revenge.

Mad Buddies also stars Tanit Phoenix as the TV Producer by the name of Kelsyand frequent Schuster film actor Alfred Ntombela while Ed Jordan will compose the score for the film.

Jordan, who is more well-known for his TV work on shows such as Deal or no Deal and Popstars, also worked on the musical side of the 2010 schoolboy film Spud.

Directed by Gray Hofmeyr and produced by Helena Spring, Mad Buddies opens on June 22.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia’s M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!

  • Who wants to bet that there’ll be a joke where someone falls into poo? Or poo falls onto them?

Or has to eat poo? Something involving poo

    • Never I expect this to be exceptionally high browed and no uncomfortable racist jokes including faeces will be allowed.
