It didn’t take enhanced senses for some of you guys to notice that the bad-ass first trailer released earlier in the week for Daredevil season two was being billed as Part 1. That’s because while that trailer was mostly focused on Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, a second trailer would be dropping in a week or two that puts Elodie Yung’s Elektra in the spotlight.
But in between those two trailers, Marvel and Netflix are not slacking one bit in the marketing department. The studio has released a new batch of promo pics that also give us our first look at Elektra in the TV new version of her classic costume. Check them out below.
Am I the only one that thinks that pic looks like Elektra’s disembodied head is rising up out of her scarf/mask, like Mario rises up out of one of his green warp pipes? Just me? Did I do too much drugs play too much videogames as a kid?
Along with those Daredevil pics, the official Jessica Jones Twitter account has also revealed the very first teaser poster for the upcoming Luke Cage – the third of Marvel and Netflix’s television collaborations. We also get a new synopsis for the upcoming show, which sees Mike Colter reprising his role from Jessica Jones as the man with unbreakable skin.
After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city–forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
Yep, that is definitely Mike Colter. On a poster. Marked “Luke”. Luke Cage will also star Mahershala Ali as Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Theo Rossi as Alvarez, and Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, and is scheduled for released sometime in late 2016. Daredevil season two though will start streaming on Netflix on 18 March.
