New details for JOHN WICK 2 sound wicked!

When I sat down to watch John Wick with my older and more cynical (and impossible to shut up) brother I thought I was going to watch another boring action movie starring a piece of wood. Instead I watched a brilliant action movie staring Groot Keanu Reeves as a kick-ass killer assassin dude who really liked his dog. Woof. Also, the only words out of my brother were words of ‘wonder’ that a family friendly site shouldn’t have to read.

Yes, John Wick was WICKED! (for you Kerv). I mean for a movie like this to be sitting on 85% on Rotten Tomatoes says, well, not much, but you get my point. The film is hard, it is violent, it is R-Rated and came before Deadpool (Yes, there was a before) and it has some of the best action sequences since the Matrix (remember that hall scene with the knife) and it had a story… I think… who cares?! Well some small bits of information regarding the sequel we knew we would get have come to light thanks to Exhibitor Relations.

Firstly we are going with a title that looks like it was pulled from the next Guardians of the Galaxy and that is… John Wick: Chapter Two. Yes, you can pretty much guarantee the writers sat for at least 54 seconds thinking of that one. Other things that took as long were the motivations of our ‘hero’ found in the first film. His dog is killed, so he kills half the city. Well this time round Reeves says there won’t be any dog reasons. Instead, as Reeves loves to do, the reasons are, well I have no idea, you read what he said and tell me if he makes any sense:

To me there’s John Wick and then there’s John. You know, John is the married guy whose wife just died, and that five years of his life. In [the sequel], John Wick’s past comes and infiltrates John’s life and John Wick, in a way, has to fight for John.

Thanks Reeves, that clears that up then. This time the movie will be based in Rome so they better throw in a Colosseum fight with a cat spectator. John Wick: Lethal Game Hunger Star Future Chapter Two is expected to come out 10 February, 2017. Joining Reeves will be co-director Chad Stahelski from the first film and former Matrix co-star Samuel L. Jackson Laurence Fishburne. Returning are also Bridget Moynahan, John Leguizamo, Lance Reddick, and Ian McShane.
