Magic! It’s something that we don’t see enough of in films these days, with the sole exception of Heath Ledger demonstrating how to make a pencil disappear in The Dark Knight. But that might soon be a thing of the past, because 2013 has some illusion heavy films on the horizon.

And one such abra kadabra movie stars Steve Carrell and Steve Buscemi as smiling on the outside, expressing pure hate on the inside Las Vegas stage magicians, in The Amazing Burt Wonderstone.

The two Steves star as Burt Wonderstone (Carrell) and Anton Marvelton (Buscemi), Vegas magicians who have had the spotlight on them for several years with their high stakes illusions and tricks.

Thing is, Burt’s ego has grown out of control which has caused a rift between the two magicians and puts their act in jeopardy, something compounded by the arrival of Jim Carrey’s street magician Steve Gray (MIND FREAK!).

It’s up to Burt and Anton to reconnect and find out just what made magic so special for them in the first place, or risk being kicked off the strip. And with that bit of exposition out of the way, here are the first two official images from the film;

Siegfried and Roy with Kervyns’ wardrobe, versus Cris Angel but with subtle name changes? I’m in! The Amazing Burt Wonderstone is out next year March, and also stars Olivia Wilde, Alan Arkin, James Gandolfini, Jim Carrey and Jay Mohr, with Don Scardino directing.
