That 70s Show is a great comedic treasure that I have enjoyed repeatedly over the years since it original inception, with clever jokes, colourful characters and sometimes risky material. From the show we got to see a then unknown group of actors turn into house hold names, among those names are Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson. Now ten years since that shows finale, we see the pair reunite again in the new Netflix comedy, The Ranch.
Starring Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson, Sam Elliott and Debra Winger, the show is set in present day Colorado, the multi camera show follows Colt’s (Kutcher) return home after a brief and failed semi- pro football career to run the family ranching business with his older brother Jameson “Rooster” (Masterson) and father Beau (Elliott), whom he hasn’t seen in 15 years. Winger stars as Colt’s and Rooster’s mother, Maggie, who runs the local town bar.
Here is the first trailer for the 10 episode comedy:
OK, so now you’ve seen the trailer, but what are your thoughts on the show? Personally I would be lying if i said I am convinced by this and I’m not exactly jumping out of my skin to see it. But there is enough talent on board to turn The Ranch into a hit, so I will hold off on my criticism until I actually see the show when it airs. Created and executive produced by Jim Patterson and Don Reo (“Two and a Half Men”) and produced by Kutcher and Masterson, The Ranch releases on Netflix on Friday, 1 April 2016.
