Spider-Webb, Spider-Webb, does whatever a Spider-Webb does! Spins a plot, any size, catches producers on the side! look out, here comes the Spider-Webb!Ignoring my war crime attempt at a Broadway musical, The Amazing Spider-Man is indeed back in town, as shooting officially begun this week. Director Mark Webb is back, and so are primary stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy, respectively. To kick off the production, Webb tweeted the following image and message;

And that’s kind of interesting. Digital video has become the standard operating platform in the film industry as of late, thanks to it being quicker and more versatile. But shooting on 38mm film? That means that the sequel is going to be in for some lengthy post-production 3D conversion time. Whether the celluloid approach is for the whole film or just that specific scene, is unknown, but it is a fascinating move nonetheless.
Or worse yet, Marc Webb is a hipster.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is currently scheduled for release next year May 2 (My birfday!), and also stars Jaime Foxx as Electro, Paul Giamatti as the Rhino, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn and Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson.
