Will Ferrell and Steve Carell are going to SWEAR TO GOD

Even though Justin Theroux has spent more time acting in front of the camera, in films such as American Psycho and Wanderlust, writing for films has also led to success for the thespian, as he has had no shortage of work after he turned in the blueprint for Tropic Thunder.

With work on Iron Man 2 and several other projects, the actor is now set to direct and write his next feature film, which will have Will Ferrell screeching at the heavens.

Originally written by Alan Cohen and Alan Freedland, the film will have Ferrell “play a narcissistic hedge fund manager who thinks he has seen God”, according to Deadline. There’s no word yet on what role Carell will play, but we’d bet good money that he’ll be playing a foil to Ferrell and madcap antics.

Theroux will rewrite the script, while Adam McKay, Chris Henchy and Ferrell will produce, with a start date scheduled for next year in July, once Carell and Ferrell wrap up shooting on Anchorman 2.
