WWE Monday Night RAW took place from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. Here’s all the action that went down ahead of the ever-looming Survivor Series event.
There’s a war brewing between Smackdown LIVE and RAW ahead of Survivor Series. After her show was invaded by team blue, RAW boss Stephanie McMahon had some harsh words for her general manager Kurt Angle, taking him to task for the poor resistance put up in the face of the Smackdown invasion.
While Stephanie claimed that Shane’s actions were done to deflect attention away from his failings at Hell In A Cell, she also decided to place the burden of team captain on Angle’s shoulders and demanded that the Olympic hero annihilate the Smackdown opposition. Adding another spanner into the works? Angle’s job would be on the line as well. Oh it’s true, it’s damn true.
Kane would also be on the rampage last night, attacking superstars all across the stadium. His first assault was on none other than Smackdown LIVE general manager Daniel Bryan who had arrived to ease tensions, before moving on to Finn Balor and then Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in the ring. The biggest surprise of last night however?
The return of Braun Strowman, who utterly demolished The Miz and his Miztourage. While The Miz and Bo Dallas managed to escape the Gift of Destruction, Curtis Axel wasn’t so lucky and received an entire five running powerslams, the final one being delivered through a commentary table. Here’s how the rest of the matches on RAW shaped up:
- Nia Jax def. Bayley
- Samoa Joe def. Apollo Crews
- Intercontinental Champion The Miz def. Matt Hardy
- Asuka def. Stacie Cullen
- Finn Bálor def. Cesaro
- Kane def. Raw Tag Team Champion Seth Rollins
- Heath Slater and Rhyno def. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in an All Hallow’s Eve Trick or Street Fight
- Kalisto def. Drew Gulak
- Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss def. Mickie James
