Fan-favourites Tom Hardy and Michael Shannon have been busy of late. Hardy was recently seen breaking the Dark Knight as Bane and Shannon is set to bring Superman to his knees in 2013 as General Zod in Zach Snyder’s much-anticipated Man of Steel. Now they’re joining forces to star in a big screen adaptation of Brett C. Leonard’s play, The Long Red Road.
It seems like both actors are taking a break from clobbering superheroes, as The Long Red Road will find them as brothers, with Hardy portraying the protagonist, Sam, a man who moves to an Indian reserve to drown his sorrows in alcohol.
The critically acclaimed play of the same name also starred Tom Hardy, and was directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman. No word yet on whether he will be reprising his role as director.
Does Hardy have his eyes set on 2013-2014’s award season already? The early buzz surrounding this film definitely thinks so.
All that said, does anyone else secretly wish these two actors get into a fist fight? Shut up and take my money!

The only thing more awesome than this write up is Lourens’ Bio. What a man!
