$199 360 going to include Motion Controller?

I posted on Thursday about the rumours that the 360 Arcade is going to drop to $199 in September. Well the new rumour is that it is also going to see a bundling of the motion controller and some mini-games developed by Rare.

Honestly it’s a blatant copy of the Wii’s marketing idea, but it’s one that could end up being a stroke of genius from Microsoft.

If people take notice they will see that not only can they get a top end HD console for the more hardcore gamers in the house, but they can also get the motion controlling mini-games for parties and everyone else for less than the Wii.

Or Nintendo may counter act the move by slashing R2000 of the local price of the Wii (or about $100 elsewhere).

Or the most likely scenario, no one takes the motion controller for the 360 seriously and the Wii continues on with it’s ultimate domination of all things gaming.

These after market controllers never work, it needed to be pushed right at the beginning. No developer is going to put time, money and effort into developing games for this thing and consumers who already have the 360 are not going to go out and buy the thing for a couple of games.

Too late MS, rather try and build on the things you already have.
