So the reports are coming in that the levels of Killzone 2 are going to come in at 2GB… That’s insane and is obviously being thrown around as a great reason for Blu-Ray.
Now before I read the main article I was thinking that it doesn’t matter how big a level is it really depends on what it looks like and how it plays.
There are more polygons in 1 soldiers face than an entire level in Killzone 1, that really is something quite impressive. however when you spend tens of millions of dollars on your lead FPS it really is expected to hit the obligatory 60fps… which Killzone 2 won’t do it will run at 30 fps like Madden 08…
It’s also a bit sad that the famous 1080p console’s lead title will run at 720p. Now most of us know that you can’t tell the difference between 1080p and 720p on a screen less than 50″ but when it is one of the PS3’s leading marketing points you would expect it to deliver…
However saying that the game does sound and look really good.
Also, due to the sheer detail and effects crammed down the Cell and RSXs proverbial throat, the game will run 30 fps, and will ?only? be at 720p
