Two years ago, Xbox gamers got to finally play Alan Wake, after five years of development. It was a monumental success for developer Remedy games, and went on to release several DLC packs which expanded on the creepy story of the doomed novelist, while also paving the way for a successor title, Alan Wakes Night Springs.

PC Gamers were left out of the dark for quite a while, missing out on the spooky fun, but finally, Alan Wake is heading their way. Here’s a look at the PC Specs that you’ll be required to have, in order for that suspenseful thriller to compute correctly.

Remedy Entertainment recently answered a FAQ on these questions, and detailed the following setup for the minimum requirements;

OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7
PROCESSOR: A dual core processor is required:

  • AMD: Athlon X2 2.8GHz
  • Intel: Core 2 Duo 2GHz

MEMORY: 2 GB
HARD DRIVE: 8 GB
VIDEO CARD: DirectX 10 compatible or later with 512MB RAM

  • AMD: ATI Radeon 3650, 4450, 5550, 6450 or higher (per series)
  • NVIDIA: GeForce 8600GT, 9500GT, GT120, GT430, GT520 (per series)

SOUND CARD: DirectX 9.0c compatible
INPUT: Mouse and keyboard, Xbox360 controller also supported

Expect a 7.5 gig download for the game when it releases on Steam next month, while haters of Games for Windows Live will no doubt be happy to hear that Alan Wake does not use that specific service.

As an added bonus, PC gamers will also have full access to the original DLC packs, The Signal and The Writer. Nice! So how does your PC match up to these specs?
