The last live-action trailer for Deus Ex was a fictional ad for Sarif Industries, one of the leading companies behind human augmentation, showing the utopian benefits of replacing your weak, human body bits with robotic upgrades. This new one shows the opposite side of the coin; the political and moral struggles inherent in integrating technology with…well…people. Are people playing God? Are people sacrificing their humanity? Are corporations able to use the technology to control the masses? Is augmentation the road to enslaving the human race?

Maybe. See more in the terribly emotive, fantastic live-action trailer below.

Keep an eye out on www.SarifIndustries.com…I suspect there’s going to be something interesting happening there soon.

Deus Ex Human Revolution releases for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on August 26th.

Editor. I’m old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time – they were capable of being masterpieces. I’m here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
