I may not have been bowled over by Assassin’s Creed 3, finding it wanting in several key gameplay areas, but I have to admit, the game looked pretty damn fantastic. As is the norm with AC games, it’s arrival date on PC has been later than the one that consoles were graced with. Looks like that extra time may have been worth it, because AC3 just went from supermodel visuals through to beer-goggles attraction on the master-race platform
According to these screenshots and video from Reddit user Taos, the game looks stunning with a bit of hardware behind it. Running a rig with an Intel Core i7 920 processor, six gigs of Ram and visual-boosting from a Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 HD card, Taos grabbed the following snapshots and gameplay.
(Also, there be spoilers in the video, so consider yourself warned.)
Clean models, higher draw distances and smoother frames per second. Hot damn, some days I wish that I had sufficient organs to buy a rig capable of such visuals. Assassin’s Creed 3 hits the uber-race this Friday, November 23. Does it look like that extra time was worth it for you?
