Or a refraction of light, something sciencey, I guess.

In news that should surprise no one whatsoever, it has been revealed that the latest Assassin’s Creed game will ship later on PC, upholding a fine tradition of allowing console gamers to gloat over their ability to control the digital reconstruction of a genetic memory, for the umpteenth year in a row now.

PC gamers will be slitting throats and taking Redcoat names on November 23 now, while Xbox 360 and PS3 players will do so from the end of October. This isn’t the first time that Assassin’s Creed has shipped late to the PC game, with previous titles releasing at the following dates in the past:

  • Assassin’s Creed 1: November 16 2007, in European console territories, April 8 2008 on PC.
  • Assassin’s Creed 2: November 20 2009 on consoles, March 5 2010 on PC.
  • Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood: November 19 2010 on consoles, March 18 2011 on PC.
  • Assassin’s Creed Revelations: November 15 2011 on consoles, December 2 2011 on PC.

On the plus side, at least the game is being delayed much less, than previous versions. Why, if this trend continues, we might one day see an Assassin’s Creed game that launches on the same day as the console versions!
