Assassin’s Creed Hidden Blade is a real thing

Well, as real as any “role playing” prop can be. From the middle of October, you’ll be able to pick up a life-sized, working replica of Ezio Auditore’s hidden blade gauntlet. Well, you will if you live in the US – because it’s a bloody Gamestop exclusive.

According to Gamestop, the “Role–Play Gauntlet Replica” “May not be suitable for younger audiences,” and that “Parental supervision is recommended.” For good reason –  because even though it’s made of plastic, it has a sharp, pointy blade. while this sort of thing usually appeals to Darryn’s odd costume fetishes, I have to admit I really, really want one – though it’d be mere minutes until I was either bleeding profusely, or it would be in pieces.

It’s quite intricately detailed – and would make cosplaying as Assassin’s Creed 2’s smooth Italian playboy a world easier; if dressing up is your thing. There’s no word on whether or not you have to remove your middle ring finger for it to work.

According to Gamestop it’s got:

  • Spring Loaded Action
  • Highly Detailed Replica of Ezio Auditore’s Armored Vambrace
  • Adjustable Buckle and Velcro Straps
  • Locking Safety Mechanism
  • Extends to over 15″ in length
  • Made of PVC and ABS plastics
  • Closed Box Packaging

According to me, it’s awesome.
