[ UPDATE: The post has been updated with a link to a PC vs PS3/Console comparison ]

Jimmy Fallon may not be the most popular guy in the world in terms of being a show host, but what he is… is a gamer who uses the exposure and tools at his disposal to promote gaming as much as possible, so he rocks.

This week he was given the world exclusive debut of Battlefield 3 running on console (PS3), and while I’m still amped as hell for this game, there’s no denying that it doesn’t look quite as good as the PC footage.

Big surprise? Video after the jump.

Now, that’s not to say that the game doesn’t still look great and of course, we would be fools to think that the game would look as good on a console as a brand spanking new monster gaming rig.

There is however, a noticeable difference with the overall graphical quality and while I can’t fully point out if its model detail, lighting or post-process effects, there’s just something that’s not quite as juicy as the PC footage.

We will hopefully be able to get our hands on some comparison footage soon and see with our own eyes. UPDATE: You can see it here
