So what kind of thinking and work goes into making the audio for games such as Battlefield: Bad Company.
This short developer diary video has some of the folks over at the Bad Company HQ discussing their ideas and plans as well as how much they need to get outside (and I agree). I did find it interesting throughout the video to see and hear them firing off weapons and think “Hey, that sounds exactly how the weapons sound in the game”, which goes to show that they have been doing a pretty great job.
I do have to say though, that had it not been for the footage of the sound blokes standing around in the sun, I would have totally believed that they were vampires, for some reason they just creep me out.

Must say though. Battlefield was first game since i got my xbox (guitar hero excluded for obvious reasons) that made me turn the volume way up and go WOW!!
