Great news to pretty much anyone who owns a PC (So yes, all of you).
Battlefield Heroes, the cartoon styled Battlefield game has finally launched, and earlier than expected. The game was created to run on even lower spec machines and is completely free to anyone who wants to play, with money only being made with additional content and micro transactions for extra nifty bits.
While Massively Multiplayer Online games have done similar things in the past, this is quite a first for shooters, and I think that it’s actually a bit of a big deal that we should all be paying attention to.
If we support this game, and EA likes what they see, we may see even more free full titles coming our way, with only DLC and possibly advertising to make the dough, so if you have a computer, and honestly, who doesn’t these days, then get your butt online and go kick some butt.

Now move, move , move.

I see it is a 4GB download.
I presume that as it is a plug-in for your browser you will play from within your browser. Is this right?

I played the beta for a while.
quite disappointing if your a BF Fan plays like a crappy kids game.
It installs a Plugin in your browser that installs and launches the game, the game itself is not in-browser
