Pac man got me started, but it was the arcade machine, not the console versions. The console versions lacks the right kind of nostalgia.

It’s quite a coincidence, I was just discussing what got us started in gaming with a friend of mine, last night. We were linking to youtube links of all of the NES games we played.

It’s great to reminisce about the gaming past. What’s funny I only look back at those times with great fondness, I wonder if I will look back on next gen when I’m older with the same sentiments.

I think many a current gen gamer could do with being strapped into a chair and made to spend a week playing some of these games. It may make them appreciate current generation games a hella lot more. Okay, I draw the line at Han Solo Dance off, but we have come a LONG way friends. I started off with battle tanks, man, I am old…

I was a post Atari gamer child.

I have such fond memories of all the NES games I played. I remember the days of playing Battle Toads Double Dragon with my brother and the joys of Tiny Toons and Felix the Cat.

It wasn’t till I played Chrono Trigger that I really became heavily invested in gaming. Games were going to be much more than points and Hi-Scores. I can’t remember My life without games, jeez…

I had an ROM on my android phone a while ago, just to give it another bash. I still kinda sucked at it.
I let my boss’ kid try it out, it was interesting. He’s a part of the current iPad generation, all about instant gratification, so he’d get irritated with hitting a game over and having to start over. That said, he kept going back to it just to try it again.

That was back in about 1988/89. Man, I learned how to type because of those games. Only got a Nintendo knock-off console a few years after that.

Weirdly the first game that got me into gaming was on the NES. English name of the game was Fly Dragon Boxing 3. It was in japanese and couldnt make out any story to the game lol, but somehow i still enjoyed it loads. After that was Mario Bros and then Ninja Turtles.

Not sure which one it was but it was a side scrolling one where you can go into the sewers etc etc… Those days games was so fun. Maybe im just getting too old now that im not fully into loads of gaming as before or…. life got more serious and that needed more of my attention.
