Bye Bye Eidos, Hello Square Enix EU

You may recall that British publisher, Eidos was bought out earlier this year by Square Enix. As a result the publisher formerly known as Eidos has officially been renamed as… wait for it… Square Enix Europe.

No fear though as this doesn’t mean that Eidos titles like Hitman and Tomb Raider will be affected at all, well accept for the publisher’s title in the opening credits.

Well I just googled Thief and the wiki entry had this to say,

“Looking Glass Studios developed both The Dark Project and The Metal Age. After the studio went out of business in 2000, many former employees moved to Ion Storm Austin and began developing the long-anticipated third part of the series, Deadly Shadows. Eidos Montreal was subsequently given the reins for Thief 4, which is currently in early development stages.”

    Hope it helps
