Call of Duty 5: World at War

So after the amazing success of Call of Duty 4 it is no suprise to see a huge media campaign starting up already for the next iteration in the series.

As has been mentioned before, the next game in the series is going back to World War II which is a move that I am not entirely happy about. I have really had my fill of WWII games to be honest.

Hopefully they can pull it off but from these first grainy screenshots (scanned) I am not impressed, there is nothing in them that makes me sit up and take notice.

Though all is not lost, according to MaxConsole there is going to be a new flamethrower that will melt the skin of your enemies and burn through grass and wooden buildings… now that sounds cool… But isn’t Gears of War 2 doing that as well?

I was SO happy with the move to Modern Warfare, but now it’s
back to the same old boring crap again. Why oh why?
I’ll give this a pass (even if there’s a gun that shoots
shurikens and lightning) Just too freaking tired of WWII
    games. How utterly disappointing. 🙁

I also would have preferred another modern setting. Then again, I am playing through COD2 now and I’m really enjoying it – it’s hard to believe that it’s an “old” game. The graphics of COD5 do look amazing from the scans, if you look past the grain.

I wonder what they where thinking when they thought up COD5.

“So COD4 went down well and everyone loved the modern setting. I know let’s mix things up a little and go back to WWII.”

Maybe just maybe they are pulling a Metal Gear Solid 2 on us and show everyone a WWII Game when in actual fact it’s going to be super modern, like in the future, with lasers and stuff. That’ll be awesome

This sucks ass that they are going back to WWII theme f***g pricks, COD5 an’t gonna do better than COD4. I loved COD4 and its modern setting. (COD1, COD2, COD3 all these games had WW themes) I think from COD4 .. COD5 and COD6 should also have modern settings then maybe COD7 COD8 and COD9 could have future themes haha. 🙂
