Chainsaw's at High Noon

So you have all seen the trailer by now and have wondered if that mini chainsaw battle is just for show or a clue about future gameplay.

Well according to a blog on the Variety website it is a clue about the future gameplay. They have spoken to some insiders at Epic who have confirmed that you will be able to block a chainsaw attack and then if you win the mini-game cut your opponent into giblets… sounds like fun.

Hopefully it works in the gameplay though. Browsing the local forums I see some people putting out their wish lists for Gears 2 with some very good and some very bad ideas in them.

Personally the things I do not want to see in Gears of war 2 are

  • Free for all multiplayer
  • More than 6 people per team
  • weakening the melee attack

So is there anything you don’t want to see or would love to see?

I don’t want to see vehicles, i think it’ll spoil the game. This is not Halo.

Wouldn’t mind Free for all multiplayer.

    4 player co-op!

In game mode – annex, they could up the number of players.

but the rest 4*4 or 6*6 would be ok.

    I agree Milesh

I’d also like to see “challenge” online missions like 4-8 players against that horde of locusts in the demo, defending a lone destructible outpost….

MAinly I just want to see less glitching and less sticking!

A homing rocket launcher would be cool against some destructible buildings.
