So yesterday a story hit the web about how to do a fan test on your PS3 which would help blow out all the dust.
Now I didn’t post about this because it didn’t seem like the best idea in the world and wouldn’t you know it, I was right…
Apparently doing this ‘test’ can cause your CPU and GPU to overheat killing your PS3.
It serves no real purpose and Sony has also stated that it isn’t a good idea.
So maybe in the next firmware update Sony can remove this feature?
Anyway if you don’t know how to do it then don’t worry you shouldn’t be doing it, else if you do know, stop doing it…

If only they could get it to blow the dust stuck on the outside of the thing rather.

It’s pretty scary that sony has even got this feature if they do not want people using it… Thanks for sharing though… I know that I’d be that stupid person trying this sorta thing hahaha
