Dragon Age: Inquisition will be best on PC

For too long now, PC gamers have been getting the short end of the stick when it comes to PC ports. Games are poorly optimised, lacking the sort of options and features PC gamers expect or are made for controllers, with poor mouse and keyboard support. That won’t be the case with Dragon Age: Inquisition.

According to a new developer diary from Bioware, it looks like console gamers will be the second-rate citizens when it comes to the newest game in the Dragon Age series. Just about the whole game was made with PC gamers in mind first.

This shouldn’t be all that surprising, given that the PC version of Dragon Age: Origins was a PC game that got ported to consoles. The PC version allowed for far more tactical combat than the console versions which were a little more action-oriented. PC gamers were also some of the most vocal about Dragon Age 2’s “dumbing down.” This time, it’s made by PC gamers, for PC gamers.

Inquisition’s PC specs were also recently released:

Are you packing the punch to run the best version of the game (even if it does require Origin)?

Then they should put the blasted thing on a cartridge. It would also save on the worst LOADING screens that I have ever witnessed from DA2.

    System RAM 8gigs?
Oh I forgot, the 7.5gigs on the consoles are used for background social operating systems.

Surely any gaming oriented setup has a minimum of 8GB by now? Hell, my laptop came with 8GB. Chrome usually makes it seem like 4GB though.

When last gens games running at 720p at 30fps were working on 512mb RAM and games like Assassins creed can only muster an extra 180p it proves that these over expensive NEXT GEN consoles with their 50gig mandatory installs are 20 years behind their true potential.

The best version requiring Origin is like marrying a supermodel but having her mom move into your house. Sure the sex is great but you always have that third wheel around.

8GIGS RAM in the Bone and PS4.

Can somebody please explain to me what the other 7.5gigs is being used for in the next gen machines?
Because the games do not look anything near the PC versions.

You still lose 2 gigs while it waits for you to feel social.

If I wanted to share what was happening in my game I’d take a picture and email it to my friends.

The Magic cloud that they say makes games faster but still have to be proved prob needs 7.5gb to maintain a connection.

Even though the idea is technically impossible due to latency issues they still have to prove all the technical people wrong by releasing it …

I find it more fun to play games in the TV room, on a couch, rather than in the Study. I feel more immersed, more fun. Perhaps this is my personal preference then, but I choose Xbox 360 over PC games whenever there is a choice.

I play game on the couch in the tv room as well. Its called Steam OS or Steam Big Picture. Works great and I can run everything at 1080p.

“Yes, yes, connect your PC to TV, remote mouse and keyboard and bob is your father’s brother, I suppose. Effort.”

Really when last did you use a Pc in the 90’s ? Fully controllable from a controller can even use the xbone or ps4 controllers.

Like I said cool story bro you are only trying to convince yourself.
