Duke Nukem Forever is coming – no it isn't

There is a little pow wow going down between Shacknews, 3D Realms and Dallas Business Journal (DBJ). Apparently 3D realms told the DBJ some off the record information, which was instantly published on the record.

Shacknews picked this up and started spreading the story around the Internet. Now after 3 updates we seem to be getting back to the actual facts.

Initially 3D realms had ‘confirmed’ DNF would be released on PC, 360 and PS3 towards the end of this year. This was then changed to the console platforms being a strong possibility and that online co-op will be included.

This was then updated to”no comment”… In other words nothing has been confirmed but what we are looking at is a cross platform simultaneous release later this year. With online co-op and multi-player which would be awesome.

So does anyone still care about this title now that it may finally be arriving? Obviously, this game has become the butt of the gaming industry so we are dying to see how it ends.

I for one welcome our future robotic overlords

  • DNF = Did not Finish! it’s a sign I tell you! a SIGN!

  • Naudran

    Lol!

But this is about the 4th “confirmed” release date…

I surely am looking forward to this game….NOT that much anymore though….

Back in the day, I even bought my GeForce1, for R2700 (imported from US) just because it was confirmed to be in the “recommended specs” for a graphics card for DNF…

    hehe

Hopefully the game won’t be an outright disappointment by the time it is actually released.

  • Banana hammock

I’ll get it just for the classic Duke comments that will come with it.
