And the disinformation begins, at the Sony Process conference Jack Tretton was very excited to tell us that the PS3 had the exclusive rights to the upcoming Final Fantasy 14 MMO from Square Enix.
However when VG247 approached Microsoft’s product boss, Aaron Greenberg, and asked him about the title they were told
“My understanding is that it is not exclusive”
And then when pushed he told them to go and ask Square Enix about it.
Square Enix has now turned around and said that they are considering all options at the moment which leaves us wondering what the hell is going on.
Has Jack really announced an exclusive that isn’t an exclusive or is Aaron just stirring the pot here to wind us all up?
I guess only time will tell, but would it really make sense to port this over to the Xbox seeing as the greatest FF following is in the East where the Xbox has very little support?
I could only see it happening with a little incentive from Microsoft.

Well Phantasy Star Universe has a monthly fee but you don’t need Xbox Live Gold to play it… Though I see your point if you already have Gold and want to play this MMO as well…
Also, they’ll probably just release this to PS3 and PC
