A lot of viewers were very let down when the Nintendo press conference ended, mostly due to the fact that there was a lot of hope that a new Legend of Zelda would be announced.
Well, just because it wasn’t announced at the press conference, it doesn’t mean that it isn’t coming. Famous director Shigeru Miyamoto has now just recently unveiled a few details about an upcoming Zelda for Wii during a developer roundtable, so we are pretty confident to tell you that a new one is indeed in development.
Details after the jump.
What we know so far, from what Miyamoto has said, is that the new Zelda will only be released in 2010, so it is possible that Nintendo may hold out until the next E3 to unveil it. What we have also heard is that not only will the game be utilising the Wii-Motion Plus, it may actually require it as a necessary peripheral.
An image was very briefly shown that apparently may have a link the Ocarina of Time. Good news for Zelda fans, we will post up more details in future, as soon as we have them.
