EA weren’t happy with Medal of Honor

Impressed?I am

In a surprisingly frank admission Frank Gibeau of EA Games has admitted that EA weren’t very pleased with how Medal of Honor turned out and that they have invested more resources into the studio working on Warfighter to try and ensure that it becomes a solid title in their stable.

In his own words

We weren’t as pleased with the quality as we had hoped to be. And our goal with this version was to change things up a bit,

We added some resources from our DICE Studio in Stockholm. And we’ve tried some very innovative things this time around with multiplayer and some other things

And our goal is to continue to have Medal of Honor as part of our portfolio going forward

Personally I wasn’t a big fan of the last Medal of Honor that felt awesome at E3 but didn’t manage to capture the excitement when it was finally released. I also have to say that I have very little interest in Warfighter at the moment and I can honestly say it’s got a lot to do with the name.

Not Warfighter, that’s a terrible sub title and EA really should have come up with something much better than that but my real problem is with Medal of Honor.

It’s spelt wrong, every time I see it my eye twitches slightly and the amount of red squiggly lines on this page right now is driving me insane. Someone needs to tell EA that America isn’t the only country in the world and if you are going to use English in your titles then use it correctly.

Is this just me being pedantic or does it annoy anyone else?
